No-ImageA resident of Naples City in Florida has been arrested and charged after receiving a package from Belize last week containing forty grams of cocaine. He is twenty-four-year-old Joseph Rahman who was detained following a Homeland Security Investigation. Reports from international news indicate that a U.S. Postal Inspector Agent alerted authorities of an incoming package to Naples that concealed possible illegal narcotics. The package reportedly contained souvenirs, bottles of hot sauce, seasoning and three plastic bags containing a red paste like substance that surrounded a white substance.

Reports from the Collier County Sherriff’s Office states that the return address was not authentic, however, the receiver package was legitimate. A field test was conducted on the white coloured substance which tested positive for cocaine. A search warrant for the package was approved with the condition that it be delivered and enters the suspect’s residence.

A tracking device was placed on the package after midday on Friday November 1st, 2019 and arrived at about 6:00 p.m. that same day at Rahman’s address. Rahman reportedly picked up the package and entered a white Mercedes which drove into the garage of the residence.

Authorities were alerted to the opening of the package approximately one hour later where the Special Response Bureau entered the home and secured the package together with its contents. Rahman and three other suspects who were present at the time were detained. Rahman was charged with trafficking cocaine and was granted bail of $75,000. He is expected to appear in court on November 25th, 2019.
