NoImageFour residents of Gardenia Village in the Belize District today appeared in the Orange Walk magistrate’s court on charges of Drug Trafficking after they were caught with a large amount of marijuana by Orange Walk Police.

 


Reports are that on Wednesday night shortly before eleven while conducting mobile patrol on the Belize Corozal Road, Orange Walk Police noticed as a Maroon Kia exited Santa Familia Street and an object being thrown out from the vehicle. Authorities proceeded to stop the vehicle and conducted a search on the area where the object was thrown where they discovered a square parcel wrapped in clear plastic containing a total of one thousand and one grams of suspected cannabis. All occupants of the vehicle were subsequently arrested and charged for drug trafficking, they were identified as thirty-two-year-old Teo Dawson, twenty-two-year-old Aston Armstrong, twenty-five-year-old Arthur Swift and thirty-two-year-old Anthony Dawson all from Gardenia Village.


All four men appeared today before Magistrate Patricia Arana and were granted bail of one thousand dollars each.
