NoImageThe Department of Youth Services will celebrate International Youth Day on Monday August 12th with special events countrywide. In Corozal Town, youth officers are finalizing a full day of sports and recreational events to be held at the Miami Beach area. Today we found out more about the Department’s plans.

“On the 12th of August which is next week Monday, we celebrate International Youth Day under the theme Transforming education, the Department of Youth Services, Corozal District has organized a street art and festive day at the Corozal Miami beach where we will be having fun games and activities for our young eople within the Corozal District. We basically planning to have beach football, beach volleyball and we are going to have street basketball playing so for those who are basketball players, volleyball players, football players we are inviting them to come on out on Monday 12th of August of 2019 to participate and be a part of this amazing and fun filled day of activities for our young people, we are practically inviting every young person within the Corozal district who would want to be part of our day full of activities, who wants to be a part of the games, the fun and we are inviting all youth groups whether you are a church group or a musical band, the dancing group, or whatever group you form part of you don’t even have to be aprt of a group just have to be a young person that lives in Corozal and if you are out district and you are near Corozal you are also welcome to be a part of our activity for the day.”


The Department is still seeking the support from the business community to gather prizes for each event. You can contact any of the youth officers at phone number 402-0440 to sign up for any sporting event or turn up on the day of activities.
