Screen_Shot_2019-07-02_at_7.48.37_PMIn May, it was news when Minister of State in the Ministry of Health Dr. Angel Campos left the Ministry of Health suddenly. It was suspected that Dr. Campos might not have been getting along with the substantive Minister Pablo Marin and it led to discontent, but those reports were dispelled by Marin himself.

Well today we learnt of yet another sudden departure from a senior official in the Ministry. This time, it is Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ramon Figueroa, who was appointed in August 2015.

Dr. Figueroa, according to reports, is on vacation leave and has indicated that he is stepping down.

The Ministry, we are told, has already found a replacement in Dr. George Gough, who is the current President of the Medical Council.

The Ministry has made no announcement of these changes, but it is expected that some information will be released in the next few days.
