Screen_Shot_2019-06-20_at_7.55.36_PMThere was a burglary late last night at the Circle R compound in the community of Blue Creek here in the Orange Walk District where an undisclosed amount of cash as well as a firearm was stolen. Twenty-six-year-old Deon Hernandez was today charged by Orange Walk Police for that incident. If that name sounds familiar to you that is because Hernandez was charged back in January of this year of the aggravated burglary at the home of Former Minister Elodio Aragon Sr.

Viewers may remember that reports by Aragon indicated that on January 10th sometime between twelve midnight and 1:00am, his home located here in Orange Walk Town was burglarized by two persons. After ransacking his home, the intruders proceeded to blindfolding and subsequently kidnapping the senior citizen. He was taken several miles along the Philip Goldson Highway in his Honda SUV before he was released on Posito Road unharmed; his vehicle was also stolen. The thieves reportedly gained access from the back of the fenced property before removing louvers from a window on the second floor of the house. On that occasion Hernandez was jointly charged with Rachel Lawrence with “handling stolen goods”. Both individuals were out on bail from the court.

Hernandez is expected to appear before Magistrate Patricia Arana on Friday for this latest charge.
