Police still have no suspects in connection to the brazen assault, robbery and attempted kidnapping in the Corozal Free Zone that occurred in Friday morning.

The victim, 50 year old Kiran Kumar Solanri, a resident of Palmar Village in the Orange Walk District, reported to Police that he was assaulted by two armed male individuals of creole descent who stole U.S. $3,000 and 50,000 pesos. They forced him into his own car trunk and driven to an isolated area in the zone. Solanri was able to escape, however, and called the Police who are now investigating.
