While Belizeans continue to reel over this latest triple murder, for the students and faculty at Excelsior High School where Andrewin was the acting principal, this latest act of violence leaves more questions than answers.

“At the location where her body was found, its her residence but she not normally stays there by herself she would just go and check on the place and if she would have somebody to go there with her just for safety reasons that is how normally she would be out there and yesterday when she did not came in myself and the acting principal we decided to go and look for her at the location that we know where she would be, we went to the Amara apartment and she was not there and we decided to go at the ten mile resident and upon reaching there we saw the police officers and they inform us about the ordeal.”

“And was it a case where, I mean what is it on people minds and I sure of what exactly happened, has the staff or you gotten any clue as to what exactly had transpired did she see anything or probably receiving any threats after the burglary?”

“Well, not really one of the concern is that Mrs. Andrewin was not a person who would want problem so I would believe that yes while they had broken into her house previously she was not someone who would create a problem she was a person who would have wanted to get her stuff back and leave it at that so we don’t now Mrs. Andrewin of having a problem because she was one of the person who would say well am doing well today and this is bothering me and for this to happen really this is a shocker to us.”

According to Patrick Thompson who is a Social Studies teacher at the institution, coping with the tremendous loss has not been an easy task for both students and faculty members alike.

“The students they are disturbed at the moment and if you noticed today we had support from all the principals from the city and the high schools principals and we got support from the ministry of education personnel, we had councilors who come to counsel the students who are really disturb about the situation, we had some members of the board that came in and it went well for the student and I believe that the counsellors who came in they were really good in touching and reaching the students in let them understand yes while we are dealing with this sadden by us losing Mrs. Andrewin we can move on and if you noticed one of the activities we did was where we had the students cut out a butterfly on a pink Bristol board which was her favorite color where they write a little note on it and we close that with a picture of her on a bulleting board in front of the school yard.”

Andrewin’s colleagues remember her as a talented and compassionate career educator.

“Mrs. Andrewin was that outspoken person ones you know Mrs. Andrewin she would be the life of the party so to speak and whoever she touch she would touch them greatly and this is one of the reason why a ton load of sympathy is pouring on her on social media because she was that type of person, once you got to know Mrs. Andrewin, I would wish everybody would be like her and I have known Mrs. Andrewin before coming to Excelsior we previously worked together at Wesley College and we both went to different institution and I end up at Excelsior and she end up at another institution and then we end up uniting again when she ceom to Excelsior High School.”
