A 6.8 magnitude earthquake shook up El Salvador’s Pacific Ocean coastline at three o’clock this morning, sending fears across the region of a possible tsunami. The tremor was reportedly felt in areas of southern Belize.
The earthquake caused power cuts and minor damages to some communities.
There has been concern since the quake, because there have been at least 14 other tremors in various parts of El Salvador.
The quake follows a strong 8.0 magnitude earthquake which caused major damages in Peru on the wee hours of May 26th.
