Last night we told you about the robbery which occurred at Sun Luck Store here in Orange Walk Town where two armed males of Hispanic descent barged into the store sometime after 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and demanded money from the proprietor, twenty five year old, Hong Zhen Qui, who was seated behind the counter in the store at the time. As previously reported, the entire incident lasted over thirty seconds and was captured by the store’s surveillance cameras.

While both men had their faces concealed, one of them was armed with a handgun whereas the second individual had a knife in his possession which were both used as intimidation tactics to carry out the robbery. As we told you Qui was hit several times with the firearm before handing over the requested cash, to which the men then fled from the scene.

Today Head of the National Crime Investigations Branch, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Joseph Myvette, told the media that while police are currently following several leads, no arrests have been made up to news time in relation to this investigation.

And while there has been several cases of robbery recorded across the country, Myvette added that the department is currently advising business owners on measures that can be taken to mitigate such incidences.
