sun-countryThere's a new international flight headed to Belize, this time coming from Minneapolis, Minnesota located in the American upper Midwest.

The Belize Tourism Board has partnered with Sun Country Airlines to offer these first ever seasonal non-stop flights to Belize.

Starting on December 22, 2018, Sun Country will operate roundtrip flights once weekly on Saturdays between Minneapolis/St. Paul and the Philip Goldson International Airport.

The flight will run up until April 20, 2019.

In a release issued by the BTB, Director of Tourism Karen Bevans is quoted as stating “the Belize Tourism Board is committed to enhancing and expanding tourism programs that contribute to the momentum of the Belizean tourism industry. Working with travel partners like Sun Country enables us to serve as good stewards for the destination while maintaining Belize’s high-quality standards for accommodations.”

In their release the BTB also adds that the new flights are coming from an area of the U.S. that can really benefit from easy access to a tropical Belizean vacation when winter comes.
