noimageCorozal Police are looking for suspects involved in the daylight robbery of Gas Tomza’s butane gas substation located in the Altamira area of Corozal Town. Sometime after 1pm, several assailants arrived at the compound and held up the two employees who man the station. We could not find out if the assailants were armed.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the robbery. We attempted an interview with one of the workers, but he ran inside and locked himself in the small office to avoid us, perhaps since he was still shaken up by the incident.

When we arrived at the scene, no less than a team of five officers were there including Police’s forensic team and members of the Criminal Investigations Branch asking questions. Shortly after we noticed the Police patrol in the area.

We hope to have more on this incident in tomorrow’s newscast.
