GOBAs we reported on Tuesday Prime Minister Dean Barrow is currently in Washington D.C attending official meetings. Today the Prime Minister met with the executive Director of the Central American Constituency, Mauricio Silva at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) as well as with the Junior Counsellor for Belize Elvira Mendez, in order to receive an update on the Corporate IDB matters.


Prime Minister Barrow today also attended a courtesy meeting with Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of American States, His Excellency Nestor Mendez and Belize’s ambassador to the United States His Excellency Daniel Gutierrez.


It is expected that before the end of his trip Prime Minister Dean Barrow will be visiting the OPEC Fund for International Development, to carry out discussions for the new Haulover Bridge Project.


Prime Minister Barrow is expected to return to the country on Sunday October 15th, 2017.
