Screen_Shot_2017-09-05_at_7.52.57_PMThere was heavy police presence in the area of Hospital crescent between the Orange Walk Police station and court this morning as alleged murderer forty two year old Hilmar David Alamilla, was escorted back into the Orange Walk magistrates court for an adjournment on the murder case brought against him following the shooting death of twenty four year old Orange Walkeno Daniel “Danny Boy” Sosa back in July of this year. Of note is that this time we were allowed inside the court room.

Alamilla was arrested and charged on Saturday July 29th for the brutal murder of Sosa, whose body was discovered near the entrance of D-Victoria Hotel parking lot with a single gun-shot wound to the head a few.

Investigations at the time lead to Alamilla as being one of the last persons to have been seen with Sosa the night before his murder as both men accompanied by two other individuals were seen leaving D Gym Club in Alamilla’s pickup truck, after a night of socializing.  That same truck would later be found by police with a bullet hole clearly visible in the glass window of the passenger seat, leading cops to believe that that is where Sosa received the fatal wound.

Alamilla is to reappear in the Magistrates Court on November 1st where a date for Preliminary Inquiry is expected to be announced.
