Screen_Shot_2017-08-28_at_8.19.38_PMTonight the family of fifty two year old, Raymond Hendricks, A well-known football enthusiast affectionately known as ‘cususini’ are mourning his death following a tragic traffic accident on Sunday morning.

Official police reports indicate that shortly after 7:00 yesterday morning authorities responded to a traffic mishap on the Center of town at the corner of Belize Corozal Road and Cemetery Street where a Toyota Rav4 was seen with extensive damage to the front passenger side.

 


Reports are that the vehicle was being driven at the time of the accident by twenty year old Raymond Dominguez of Otro Benque Road Orange Walk. Dominguez was reportedly traveling towards Trial Farm Village when he lost control of the vehicle and subsequently slammed into an electric lamp post located adjacent to Akito Hotel. Hendricks who was seated on the front passenger seat is said to have received severe head and body injuries and died on impact while Dominguez received minor injuries and was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was treated and later released.

Hendricks’s family say they will remember him as a fun loving individual. A post mortem examination is expected to be conducted on Hendricks’s body sometime tomorrow. As for Raymond Dominguez he has been issued with a notice of intended prosecution.
