Screen_Shot_2017-07-12_at_8.18.18_PMThe office of the DPP has given directive to impose the charge of ‘Cruelty to a child’ to Anke Doehm and David Doehm, the adoptive parents of thirteen year old Faye Lin Cannon, following her death last week in San Pedro. Anke Doehm has been arrested and charged accordingly while David Doehm will be formally arrested and charged tomorrow when he is transported to Belize City from the Belize Central Prison on a removal order.

 


It is noted that “Cruelty to a child’ is tried only on indictment, meaning that the offence can only be tried in the crown court, and carries a sentence of ten year in prison.

The investigation into the death of Faye Lin continues.
