A resident of Trial Farm ended up having to pay $600 for a bike worth $40 today. Marlon Carrillo was taken to Court by Patricia Reid who claims that on the 25th of April she had her bike parked at home when Marlon Carrillo took off with it.
Reid made a formal report to Police and an investigation into her missing black female beach cruiser led them to Carrillo.
Today Carrillo appeared in front of Magistrate Linden Flowers and pled guilty to the charge. He was fined $600 for the offense in default 6 months imprisonment.
The bike has been returned to its rightful owner.
