mathLa Inmaculada School has organized a series of activities in commemoration of education week which is being celebrated from the 3rd to the 15th of May. The theme for this year is “Education empowers: Creating change, nurturing minds, embracing the future.”

As part of the celebrations the Ministry has requested that each school plan their own agenda, with the focus on celebrating education.

At La Inmaculada School the activities kicked off with a math competition carried out this afternoon. Standard One students gathered at the auditorium located on the school grounds where the battle for the best mathematician began.

Participating were ten students from the standard one level. After more than an hour of competition Ana Chen won first place, Liahn Castillo won second place, and Mario Davilla won third place.

Most of the competition questions were focused on the multiplication table in order to enhance the students multiplication skills.

Activities continue on Wednesday with Infant Two students competing in a spelling bee.
