On Sunday, Deputy Prime Minister and Orange Walk North Area Representative Gaspar Vega held his endorsement convention in Trial Farm, and by all reports we have received it was a singularly unremarkable affair.
Our news team at CTV-3 didn’t get around to covering the event since we had much more important things to do on Sunday, but these pictures we managed to obtain pretty much tell the tale of that mediocre, lukewarm convention.
We’ve been unable to get an accurate tally of the number of persons who attended what was forecast to be a massive event. What we can tell you, though, is that the amount of UDP flags placed on lamp-posts by Vega’s workers prior to the convention certainly outnumbered the amount of persons at the convention.
Writing on the wall? A prediction of Vega’s future political fortune? Well, that’s currently the subject of a lively discussion on the social network Facebook, and we’re pretty sure that Vega isn’t taking the dismal showing at his Convention on Sunday lightly.
