belize_electricity_limited_belIf you were planning to do some house chores tomorrow, or actually anything at all requiring the use of electricity, then we have some very bad news for you. The news is that tomorrow, some areas within Orange Walk Town will be without any electrical power.

The areas that will be affected will be San Antonio Road including Price Avenue, San Francisco Street, Progress Street, Asuncion Street, Pasture Street, Baker’s Street, Main Street, Muffles Street, Church Street, Riverside Street, Cemetery Street, Gravel Lane, Sutherland Castillo and Lamanai Alleys, Belize Road, Lover’s Lane, Key Hole Alley, Aurora Street, Liberty Avenue, Unity Street,Bliss Drive, Santa Familia Road, Louisiana Road, Mayflower Street, Zericote Street, Sapodilla Street, New River Mahogany Street, and Naranja Streets.

The scheduled outage will last from 8:00am until noon tomorrow, and the utility company has determined that it’s necessary to replace some infrastructure in the affected areas. Belize Electricity Limited will also be carrying out maintenance work in the distribution area within town.
