marceloAre you a student between the ages of 8 and 12 and love to draw and paint? Then this is your opportunity to win a trip to Mexico for two from the 19th to the 25th of June with all expenses paid.

The Mexican Embassy in Belize has launched its Childrens Painting Competition under the Escuelas Mexico Program. Participants must base their drawing or painting on the theme - How do you imagine Tourist destinations in Mexico? Drawings and paintings must be done on a white Bristol board measuring 45cm by 30 cm.

According to Public Relations Officer for the Mexican Embassy in Belize Marcelino Miranda, participants can bring their paintings or drawings to life by using brushes, pencils, acrylics, water paints, crayons or any other medium.

Participants are asked to sign and date their works. Participants full names, ages, date and place of birth, address, contact number and schools name must be written at the back of the painting or drawing.

Drawings or paintings should be submitted before May 2nd, 2011 to the Embassy of Mexico in Belmopan, the Institute of Mexico in Belize City or the Mexican Honorary Consulate in Corozal. A panel of Mexican experts in childrens art will select the winning drawing or painting. The winner will be announced on May 11th, 2011 though the Mexican Embassy.
